Know more about the Soccer Balls

Soccer is one of the favorite games all over the world. Soccer is the most watched game too. To play soccer, you need a soccer ball. The soccer ball is not the simple or any ball that you can play with. How soccer ball was created affect as how fast and how high it moves when soccer ball is kicked. Soccer balls come in different size, weight, and types. Knowing your soccer ball is important to know how your ball will react when a certain force will be applied. 


Soccer ball has four major components that are covered, bladder, lining and stitching. Soccer balls coverings are made of synthetic leather. Full grain leather is no longer used for making balls since leather can absorb water and it becomes heavy. Number of panels varies as per design. Panels are segments of covering outside the ball. The commonly used ball has 32 panels. Panels can be glued, stitch or thermally molded. The stitch panels are of the highest quality. Glued ones are the low end. In world cup in 2010 thermally molded panel in soccer balls was used.

Linings are the thickness of the material which plays an essential part in the quality of hand sewn ball. Several linings are placed between the cover and the bladder. Layers of linings in professional soccer ball are four. Lining layers provide strength, bounce and structure.

The bladder in soccer balls is one component which holds air. The bladder is made of latex or butyl. Butyl bladder holds air for longer but latex bladder provides better surface tension. But the butyl bladders in soccer balls have a great combination of air retention and contact quality. Basketball: How to Play?

Basketball is a team sport in which its objective is to shoot a ball through a basket horizontally placed to score points. In basketball there are five players in a team which play on a rectangular court with a basket at each end of the court. Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world. 

 The usual basketball hoop has a rim of eighteen inches in diameter and is mounted ten feet high on the backboard. A team can score by shooting the ball through the basket during the play. The points are given as depending on from where the person has done field goal. A team will get two points for shooting the ball in the basket, if the person is standing inside the three point line. And the team will get three points if their player scores outside the three point line. The team with the most points wins the game. There is a stipulated time for each game in which each team needs to score in the opposite basket. If both teams’ scores are the same an extra time may be given. 



Violations in basketball are called fouls. A player can advance on the basketball court by bouncing the ball while walking or running or simply throw it to your teammate. Bouncing on the ball in the court is called as dribbling and throwing the ball to team mate is called passing. If you’re the one holding the ball, you need to dribble it, make sure you will move and be conscious not to hold it with both hands, or else, it will be considered as foul.

It is called as a personal foul if the player is doing disruptive physical contact and is penalized. A free throw is given to an offensive player. Basketball has evolved and has many commonly used techniques such as shooting, dribbling, rebounding, and passing. There are specialized player positions and offensive or defensive structures and techniques such as center, small forward, point guard, shooting guard, and power forward etc.

All world class sports players, athletes and Olympic champions know the importance of a positive state of mind in sports. Mastering the sport or game has much to do with the mindset and attitude a person possess along with their physical skills and undergoing of training.


Your approach towards sports helps in determining the success you will achieve. If you approach your sport with a focused mind, clear, and sharp, confidence and most important with a positive mental attitude, then you are sure to get success, better results, and most important you will enjoy the game.

Mind and body have intrinsic links. Just as you train the body, you need to train the mind in order to achieve your peak performance. A positive state of mind helps in sports to clearly focus on the game just as personal problems, such as relationship problems, financial problems, or injury hold us back.

To get a positive state of mind in sports you need to identify the negative thoughts, emotions, feelings and replace them with motivation and confidence. You need to know what reasons behind these negative thoughts are and try and solve the problem. You need to let go of fear and anxiety.
